I BARELY HAVE TIME TO STUDY, I DON'T HAVE TIME TO DEVELOP A PLAN!
We've heard that from students before, but the time you will save by having a good study plan in place far outweighs the time spent in developing your plan. Here are some tips and strategies you should use in developing a study plan.

Learning Contracts (or syllabi for CDL courses)
- To get started, have a print out or an electronic copy of your learning contracts/online course outlines (syllabi).
- You can access your LEARNING CONTRACTS by going to www.esc.edu/MyESC and clicking on the MyRecords tab and then choosing My Academic Documents
- You can access your ONLINE COURSE OVERVIEWS by going to www.esc.edu/MyESC and clicking on the Online Courses link in the QuickLinks box on the upper right hand side.
- Then click on your individual online courses and follow the links for Course Overview or Syllabus

SELF ASSESSMENT RESOURCES:
The Vark Assessment
Available at http://www.vark-learn.com will tell you some of learning styles that you naturally like to use and provides you with strategies for studying.
The SmarterMeasure Assessment
Available at http://esc.smartermeasure.com/ will measure your self-assessment of your learning styles, motivation, technical competency, reading rate, etc. It takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. USERNAME - NECStudent (choose from the pull down menu) PASSWORD – esc

Plan for Success – Developing Your Study Plan for the Term
Do you find juggling all of your assignments challenging?
Do you want to find better ways to organize yourself and your approaches to schoolwork?
These drop-in hours are designed for students who want to develop a study plan for the upcoming term. We will work with individuals to review learning contracts and course syllabi to get a better sense of how you will plan to complete your assignments on time. We will also help students in discussion appropriate study strategies and resources.
